Panda Time

Hello to all of my fellow Cricut lovers.  I am sorry it has been so long since I posted a Cricut card I am sure you have given up, I hope not.  This is such a cute little guy in the create-a-critter cartridge I just had to do something with him.  I love to flock things and he lent himself to flocking, now he is all soft and fuzzy.  I hope you enjoy the card as much as I do.

Bubbles

This is the last card for the day I really liked the way it turned out,  if you notice the scallop stamps if any of you out there have finished a card just to touch it and get ink on it and want to cry this was the card that happened to to me.  I had worked out the layout and had it all finished and picked it up and was just about to scrap it when I saw this stamp and thought I would at least give it a try and I think it turned out OK.

Simply Subtle

I completely cased this card from Shelly Godby at Stamping Smiles,  I loved the simplicity and elegance of the card.  I did not want to totally rip off her design so I changed few things about it, but not much it was already beautiful.  I hope you enjoy my version.  I love tone on tone cards.

With Sympathy

This card was made from the scrap I had from the Easter Egg Treat Cup Chicks I made a week ago.  I am one that hate to throw away paper, so I had all of these frames basically and wanted to find ways to use them this was one of those ideas.  Stampin Up paper is wonderful to work with but it is not cheap so any time I can re-purpose scraps I do.I hope this inspires you to look at your scraps a bit differently. So get in your craft room or at your table and create.

Celebrate Spring

Today is another cold rainy day perfect for stamping.  I have made a cute card with the Sale-a-bration catalogue paper and stamp set.  I am going to miss the paper so much.  I just love all of the color combinations, and the pop of black is awesome.  I hope you enjoy and get a chance to stamp today.

Happy Feet

This is a card in a box idea I came up with watching the movie happy feet with my great nephew.  I have always loved the penguins made with the owl punch and just had to give it a try.  The basic design is the same it will fit into an A2 size envelope.  This is  the link to the you tube video  https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-dXZFeFMPsw&feature=share . The penguins are just the Stampin' Up Owl Punch with the ears cut off, no tutorial needed. I hope you enjoy.

Easter Eggs

This is such a cute project for Easter that I just had to share it. I just got some of the treat cups with the punch and could not wait to try it. This is what I came up with, and I LOVE it.  Really simple project to put together.  I am going to be taking them to our stamp club meeting this month.

Easter Eggs

As you can see I had fun with this one from the front looks like cute Easter egg,  Turn it over and it looks like a boiled egg LOL I thought that was a cute touch. Pull the ribbon and the Chick hatches and you get your candy. I Love it so much.  I think the ladies in card club will like it as well.

You will need to cut out three large ovals.  2 white, and 1 DSP.  Cut out 1 oval two sizes smaller in yellow.  Stack all 3 large pieces no glue and take your 1 3/4 inch punch and punch all 3 at once in lower 1/2 of egg.  Then take the treat cup and line it up with the hole on one of the white ovals, then put adhesive on back of DSP and place over cup onto the white layer.  Now with scissors cut zigzag pattern off top.  Now flip egg over and with glue dots place around bottom and sides about 2/3 of the way up egg.  Place 2nd white oval on the back lining it up, this one is not cut.  Decorate the yellow as above and before you place the top of egg on chick place chick in egg and then with a little glue match the two egg pieces together, let glue set and then pull chick out punch hole put ribbon through. Place chick in half way fill cup and push chick in all way to close.

Card in a Box

Today I have 2 wonderful cards in a box, just like the ones you have seen all over the place.  I was very sceptical on how I would feel about them but I LOVE them.  They were much easier to put together than I thought.  They fit into a regular A2 size envelope that was important to me.  So I will post the link to the YouTube video that I found to be the most helpful.  This was so much fun, of course it was a joint effort with my BFF Becky this past weekend and we both just loved the way they turned out.  If you have anyone you want to WOW then I suggest giving this technique a try.

The video that I followed is this one https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-dXZFeFMPsw.  She made it so it would fit into a A2 size card. We made 3 inserts to make layering fuller.  I encourage everyone to try it.
