Cowboys

How is everyone doing?  Got back Monday and have been working on some Cowboy Cards.  I used the Old West Cartridge and DCWV "All About Boys" Paper. It is always a challenge for me to come up with masculine type cards and I have a few birthdays coming up real soon so this is my attempt. As you can see I love to add texture and bling to my cards, and I am not afraid to ink something up. I want to thank everyone that takes the time to stop by, I hope you get some ideas.

Yummy

Hope everyone is having a great week, I have been working all week, and I am getting ready for a trip so not much time for card making but I just had too get this one in for the challenges over at www.cookingwithcricut.com CWC #95 (Buttons & Brads) and www.thecricutchirp.com  July #2 (To Sweet To Eat). I have so much fun with these challenges and the inspiration at both sites from the DT's and everyone that enters is amazing so if you get a chance I encourage everyone to check these blogs out. I also hope to enter a few more challenges at different sites in the weeks to come so stay tuned.

This was cut out using the Sweet Treats Cartridge. The patterned paper came from DCWV Nana's Nursery "Baby Boy" and the I used two cuttlebug folders to add texture. I used stickels on the top layer. The blue background piece was cut with sizzix framelits. And a button for my cherry on top.

Summer Fun "Scuba Steve"

So I made a card for www.cardztv.blogspot.com challenge #111 and I think I might enter it as well at www.thecricutchirp.com challenge as well I think it meets criteria, but let me tell you I must be crazy, the pieces to this card our so small that my eyes are now crossed. Oh well, I think it turned out pretty cute anyway.

The cartridges I used for this one was, "Lifes a Beach", and for the sun "Everyday Paper Dolls". I used the Cuttlebug Folder Divine Swirl for texture on the water, and some really cute fish brads I had gotten at Micheals. By the way all my cards are A2 sized cards unless I otherwise note.

Sunny Days

Let me start out by welcoming my followers, thank you so much for your support. I also would like to thank everyone for your kind comments on the blog.

These two cards are for the challenge over at www.thecricutchirp.com "A Smiling Sparkling Sun" and the July OWH challenge.  I hope you enjoy them and hopefully get a little inspiration from them.  If I can find the time I will get another one up for the "A Smiling Sparkling Sun" that I can also enter in the challenge over at www.Cardztv.blogspot.com. Please feel free to leave comments and take ideas, that is what this blog is all about.  Enjoy the rest of your week.

This card was made using the cricut cartridges "Everyday Paper Dolls" for the dog,  "Country Life" for the landscape. I used the cricut craft room and cut the dog out three times using the hide, contour button on the bottom layer taking out all the detail marks, and cut the head off for the top layer to give him dimension. I also used the hide, contour button on the top layer of the landscape. For some texture I used the Sizzix embossing folder "Plaid" on the very back green layer. I just loved the expression on the dogs face he looks so happy with himself, reminds me of my little dog "tiger" he is a Shitzu we got from a rescue group that is our "little sunshine".

I just love this little stamp, I will find out exactly what company it is made by and let you know. I did stamp the image twice just so I could cut out his nose for dimension. and colored hem using the Gamsol tech. along with a pink SU marker for the udder. This card makes me smile I hope it has the same effect on you.  I am sending out a package today or tomorrow for OWH with about 75 cards in it and I made this card in multiples just because I thought it was so darn cute.  I would encourage everyone to visit the OWH site and get involved.

Christmas in July

Mary over at Cardz TV is having a Christmas in July Card Challenge, the only rule was that it must be an animal and a Christmas Theme these are my entries.
Although this is the first challenge that I have ever done it will not be my last, I had an absolute blast putting these two cards together while the mecury outside reached almost 100 degrees.

This card was made Cricut Lite Cartridge "Hoot'n Holler".

This card was made with 2 different Cartridges,
Cricut Lite "Four Legged Friends" & Joys of the Season.

Summertime Fun

So sorry I have not posted in so long but life tends to get way from you sometimes.  I have been very busy making cards for the solders, and have posted a few card galleries on youtube, but just have not had the time to come by my blog. Here are a few of the cards that I have been working on lately.
