Robot Love

This is a Cricut card that I made for Valentines Day,  I think it turned out so cute.  Cards for boys can be tricky but this one turned out really well.  The cartridge I used was "Robotz" and he was cut out at 3 inches.  I used Bassill card stock. in red black and gray.  Some black and white patterned paper I had in the scrap paper drawer.  The hearts are from a Cuttlebug Die/Embossing set "Love Always" and I used a gold gel pen to highlight the words on them. The Embossing folder I used was a Darcie folder named "Swirl". The card is an A2 size in black. The mat is 4 x 5 1/4 in red.  The band is cut at 5 1/4 x 2 1/4 in black and 5 1/4 x 2 in polka dot.  The large mat is 3 3/4 x 3 3/4 at bottom 2 3/4 at top. Then embossed with Darci. Striped paper is cut at 3 1/2 x 3  /12 at bottom and 2 1/2 at top,

As always have a great day.  Thank you for stopping by and taking a  look.  I hope you enjoy the card and please feel free to leave a comment.

Beach Bum

Hello everyone I am tired of Christmas cards, so I decided to post a beach scene.  This is not Stampin Up and I did not use the Cricut.  I did use the Cuttlebug as an embosser and Die cutter.  This is a shaker card.  One of my favorites.  I love using the sand, I think it makes this card.  I also used a die cut starfish in with the sand as a point of interest.  I used the Gamasol technique with pencils to color in the stamped image.  The flip flops are an EK success punch.  I truly hope you like it.  It is very different than what you are used to seeing from me.  This would be very easy to replicate with Stampin Up products.

Day at the Beach

This is a A2 size card 5 1/2x4 1/4.  I used the Oval framelits of three sizes. The clear celaphane was from the back of a stamp set.  The stamped image was adhered to the celaphane with foam tape, and it made a complete seal so that the sand doesn't shake out.  Glue dot the celephane on the card first, then place foam tape all along the edge of celephane, put small amount of sand and starfish in center of celephane, remove backing from tape and place stamped image on tape.  Tah-Dah a shaker card.  Hope you enjoy the card.

Have a creative day.

Sassy Salutations

Good afternoon all,  today I made my Christmas cards for my neighbors.  The card that I made was one of those happy accidents, and I just love the way it turned out.  It was very simple and quick to mass produce so I hope that it will inspire you to make some cards for neighbors or family &  Friends.

Lovely Christmas

  • Cherry Cobbler, Old Olive, Crumb Cake ink
  • Cherry Cobbler, Whisper White Cardstock
  • DSP  Season of Style

  • Simply Pressed Clay Button (colored after drying: Cherry Cobbler marker)
  • Candy Cane Stripe Embossing Folder  (Cuttlebug)

Whisper White cut at 2 1/4 x 4 1/4 and 4 1/8 x 5 3/8, DSP  cut at 3 1/4 x 3 3/4, Cherry Cobbler cut at   5 1/2 x 8 1/2 (score at 4 1/4) and 3 3/8 x 3 7/8 and 2 3/8 x 4 3/8. First use embossing folder on largest piece of Whisper White. Then with Old Olive ink and the large pine tree from (Lovely As a Tree), stamp the first impression on left side of smallest Whisper White card stock then before you re-ink it stamp second tree repeat process for other two trees to complete the look as above.  Then using Cherry Cobbler ink stamp your Sassy Salutation just right of center. I then inked the edges with Crumb Cake ink on DSP and Whisper White.  I used the cheater method for the burlap and made 1 inch loop and taped to back on each side.  The first layer is adhered with two sided tape the greeting layer is raised with dimensionals.  The button was colored in with Cherry Cobbler marker and the linen thread was loop through and a bow tied. The photo corner was an embelishment that I had lying around.

I had quite a few request for more detailed instructions on my cards so I hope that this has been helpful.  If you have any questions, requests or comments please leave below and I will answer as quickly as I can.

Whats Cookin'

This is a set of cards that would be great to send your mother or aunt or even grandmother just has a good old fashion feel.  They were both made with the Cricut cartridge "From My Kitchen" both cut at 3 1/2 in.  I used glitter paper for refrigerator. Cuttlebug folders for texture and ribbon and large metallic pearls for bling.  If  I don't go into detail enough just leave a comment and I will try to answer it.  But I always just post to give and share basic concepts and ideas for cards you can make.  Most of t he time I don't have the specific pattern of paper or name of stamp sets for the cricut card it I do I will put it.

Have a "Ice" Day

What's Cooking

By The Tide

This layout was one that I really liked and thought that it would adapt to the By the Tide stamp set well.  I hope you like the way I used it.  I also used a technique that we learned in card club, with the glossy paper and embossing the image and then using sponge daubers to put the color to the paper.

  • Marina Mist, Brown Sugar, Whisper White and Glossy card stock.
  • DSP Patterns Stack Subtles

Thank you so much for all of your support and for stopping by.  For any or all of the supplies to make this or any Stampin Up card you can always use the demonstrator I use she just happens to be my BFF here is the link Becky Crain.

Dino Diva

So I got back to the Cricut for a cute Dino card this one was made using the Cricut Lite cartridge Dino Play.  This is one of the cutest cartridges out there, and with a little imagination can be used for all occasions and both boys and girls.  My Dino Diva was cut at 3 in. and the plant from the same cartridge was cut at 4 in.  The background paper was by American Crafts a la Mode fondant. I used a recollections flower for her to add that extra Diva quality.  Googly eyes are a favorite of mine so you will see them a lot with my Cricut cuts. The sentiment was one of my many polymer stamps that I have of unknown makers.

Rough & Tough

These are some of the cutest cards I have made for boys with the Paperdolls cartridges.  Little boys are much harder to make cards for in my opinion, but I really liked how these turned out.  I get so many requests from family and friends to make cute boy cards and I will be honest I struggle at times.  So when these turned out just like what I had imagined I was Pleased.

Snake Charmer

This card was made using the Everyday Paper Dolls cricut cartridge.  The Face was stamped with Peachy Keen Stamps PK-490.  You know I love trinkets so I had the dragonfly charm, and the black pearls for the snake eyes. The 2 Cuttlebug folders used were "Mesh Texture" and "Leafy Branch"  His hat was embossed with a Sizzix folder named "Plaid" The Designer Paper was from COLORBOK  Patterened Pack "All Boy".

Gone Fish'in

This card was also made using Everyday Paperdolls.  The PK-490 was used again. I also used markers to highlight vest and fish.  The only bling for the card was bakers twine and 3 green sticker dots. The embossing folders were from Cuttlebug "Mesh Texture" and "Give a Hoot Cricut Companion".  The Designer Paper was from COLORBOK  Patterened Pack "All Boy".

Jumper

I do a lot of cards for OWH and this was one of the cards I made to send to a soldier just to say thanks.   The character was cut out at 2.75 inches. I once again used the PK-490 stamps for the face.  The Cuttlebug embossing folder "Stars", and a star brad.  The Designer Paper was from COLORBOK  Patterened Pack "All Boy".

The Everyday Paperdoll Cartridge is so versatile and so cute that I find myself using it quite a bit, I would call it a must have.   I truly hope that you enjoy these cards and to all my Cricut fans I will still keep posting cricut stuff on a regular basis, and may soon I will do a demo on youtube instead of all of my slide shows.

Thanks so much for stopping by see you soon.
