Flight of the Dragonflies

Hello once again today I thought I would post a few cards that I just absolutely love.  Both of these cards feature the beautiful Detailed Dragonfly Thinlits Dies and paper from the Serene Scenery DSP stack. both of these cards inspiration came from pinterest they are just my interpretations of either layouts of other cards or color combos.  I find I love to take some ones layout and use new colors and stamp sets to make it my very own.  So I hope you like them and find your own inspiration.

Field of Dreams

Supplies Needed:
  • Very Vanilla
  • Serene Scenery DSP stack
  • Dragonfly Dreams Photopolymer Bundle
  • Versa Mark
  • Copper Stampin' Emboss Powder
I used the video from pinterest https://www.pinterest.com/pin/224265256418449563/ to make the base of this card and then cut the DSP 1/8 inch smaller than the space to be covered.  I cut the Dragon fly out of Very Vanilla card stock and then covered with versa mark ink and then Copper Stampin' Emboss Powder to heat emboss whole dragonfly, then also stamped saying with versa mark ink and Copper Stampin' Emboss Powder heat embossed the saying.  I used dimensionals to adhere the dragonfly for dimensional effect.  I truly hope you love this card as much as I do. It is a very simple I promise, but elegant effect.

Flight of the Dragonfly

Supplies Needed:
  • Whisper White, Old Olive cardstock
  • Serene Scenery DSP stack
  • Vellum cardstock
  • Dragonfly Dreams Photopolymer Bundle
  • Old Olive ink
  • Wink a Stella Clear

The card is5 1/2 x 4 1/4  base landscape orientation. The Old Olive mat is 5 x 2 3/8 and the DSP was cut at 4 7/8 x 2 1/4. I used the smaller dragonfly solid for the vellum and the detailed smaller dragonfly for the whisper white I used wink a Stella to cover the detailed dragonfly. I glued the two together with the fine-tip glue pen, and mounted it with dimensionals.  I truly hope you love this card as much as I do. It is a very simple card with an elegant effect.

Love You Lots

Hello everyone, it has been a little while since my last post.  The new catalogue has come out with some cute things in it.  The hostess sets are some of the cutest.  The precious little animals in the Love You Lots set are my favorite.  So today I have made cards with all 4 of them.  You will notice that some of the colors and all for the DSP that I used are retired, that is because I have set some rules for myself, until I use up a lot of my DSP that I currently own I cannot get any new.  So I certainly plan on using up as much as possible in the next few post.  I know that a lot of demonstrators only use the current materials,  but there are a lot of us out there that hang on to the retired stuff until we run out.  I always say that the cards I make are only a jumping off point for you, you can always substitute colors, DSP, stamp sets,  use these as inspirations.  So without further babbling.

My Craft Room

I have had quite e few people ask me to post pictures of my crafting space. Over the years I have looked on Pinterest for ideas on storage and re purposing furniture so I thought I would show you what the end result is from all that inspiration.  So I took a few pictures to share with you.  I hope you find some inspiration or come up with your own wonderful ideas.  This is an ever evolving room so I am always on the look out for new ideas.  Granted it took me 2 days to clean it up enough for pictures  LOL.  If you all are anything like me I work best in a mess.  If you have any questions or comments please feel free to post.

The very large piece of white furniture that takes up the whole wall used to be the cabinet that surround one of those large TV's that stood on the floor,  so when we upgraded to the flat screen I took boards cut them to the with painted them and used them for shelves.  as you can see even my side table hold paper.  The Shoe rack is for the finished cards it is the best thing I have found to keep the separated by need.  All of the white cubbies over my desk and that hold stamps are from Target. and all the other containers come from Walmart , Staples and Michael's.  If you see the tubs I have holding my ribbon they actually were from my Dogs Treats Pupcorn containers. So if you have any questions or comments I welcome them.

Acorns Abound

As some of you know this blog started as a Cricut card site and has now become much more Stampin Up than anything else.  Well the next few things I am going to share are a wonderful marriage of the 2.  This was made for my BFF Becky's nephews first birthday party, and they really turned out wonderful. The theme was woodland creatures and acorns.  Included are the treat bags that are made from Stampin up products,  The high chair banner and the Happy Birthday banner that were cut out on the Cricut and all products used were Stampin Up.  I will put a list on the bottom of all things used.  I hope you like them and get inspired yourself.
